Cooking Class: Master Cooking With Caviar

In this interactive cooking class, Chef Chris will guide you through a luxurious culinary experience focusing on one key ingredient: caviar. You'll learn how this delicacy is eaten in different styles featuring Asian, Italian and Greek cuisines.


Begin by learning how to cook Daikon radish pancakes made with red salmon caviar and other unique flavors such as soy sauce, Japanese citrus, and jalapeños. As a side dish, you'll prepare fresh Greek pita bread made of bread flour, olive oil, yeast, water, salt and honey that pairs perfectly with a homemade taramasalata. Lastly, Chef Chris will teach you how to prepare a rich Champagne saffron risotto with black caviar.

Daikon Radish Pancakes and Red Salmon Caviar

With rice flour, green onions, ikura, organic egg, toasted sesame seeds, soy sauce, Japanese citrus and jalapeños


Fresh Greek Pita Bread

With bread flour, imported extra virgin olive oil, yeast, water, salt and honey


Homemade Taramasalata

With white tarama (Greek fish roe), lemon juice, white bread, imported extra virgin olive oil and red onions


Champagne Saffron Risotto and Black Caviar

With arborio rice, imported parmigiano, vegetable stock, white pepper, shallots and butter

We had THE BEST time with Chef Chris. We loved his method of instruction, and walked away feeling like we could do so much more than just follow a recipe. The food was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to make pasta at home now! Hands down one of the best date nights we’ve had!!

Chef Chris was working as an Italian teacher at UC Berkeley when he discovered his passion for cooking. Ever since then, he has been following his passion of cooking and teaching with a focus on regional Italian cuisine. He even co-founded a culinary event business to highlight his skills. Chef Chris teaches an array of different highly regarded cooking classes, many of which are created for corporate teambuilding. He also currently provides walking food tours of Little Italy.
