Cooking Class: Kids' Kitchen: Homemade Pizza

This cooking class for young gourmands showcases a kid-friendly favorite: pizza! Young ones will have a blast getting hands-on in a chef's kitchen as they learn valuable culinary skills.

Chef Chris shows students how to craft a delicious meal centered around handmade pizza, including a mozzarella, tomato, and basil kebab appetizer. Students form their own pizza dough for classic, personal margherita pizzas with bright, zesty marinara sauce. Kids dreaming of a way to have pizza for dessert will jump for joy when they get to make personal pizzas topped with a generous helping of chocolate hazelnut spread. 

A minimum of one adult is required to be in attendance per group. Adults are required to purchase tickets in addition to children. This class is recommended for ages 5-15.


Tomato, Mozzarella and Basil Kebabs

With cherry tomatoes, garden basil, fresh mozzarella, olive oil and sea salt

Personal Neapolitan Margherita Pizzas

With flour, yeast, olive oil, fresh mozzarella, basil, tomatoes and cheese

Zesty Marinara Sauce From Scratch

With San Marzano tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, oregano and basil

Nutella Dessert Pizzas

With flour, yeast, water, Nutella, mascarpone and powdered sugar

We had THE BEST time with Chef Chris. We loved his method of instruction, and walked away feeling like we could do so much more than just follow a recipe. The food was absolutely delicious and I can’t wait to make pasta at home now! Hands down one of the best date nights we’ve had!!

Chef Chris was working as an Italian teacher at UC Berkeley when he discovered his passion for cooking. Ever since then, he has been following his passion of cooking and teaching with a focus on regional Italian cuisine. He even co-founded a culinary event business to highlight his skills. Chef Chris teaches an array of different highly regarded cooking classes, many of which are created for corporate teambuilding. He also currently provides walking food tours of Little Italy.
