Cooking Class: Pasta-Making 101 for Young Chefs

In this cooking class led by Chef Chris, young culinary artists will create a pasta-centric three-course meal running the gamut from savory to sweet. Little chefs will get to experience a chef's techniques firsthand as they have fun while learning to make a full meal.

Dinner starts with crispy fried zucchini sticks that are sure to satisfy any palate before kicking off the main course. Kids will roll up their sleeves and create handmade fettuccine noodles made with flour and fresh eggs. The noodles will be paired with a robust marinara sauce and hearty meatballs prepared by students. The dessert course for this Italian-inspired culinary experience features a rich, creamy homemade chocolate gelato.

A minimum of one adult is required to be in attendance per group. Adults are required to purchase tickets in addition to children. This class is recommended for ages 5-15.


Fried Zucchini Sticks

With zucchini, egg, flour, breadcrumbs and Parmesan

Fresh Fettuccine Noodles

With flour and eggs

Meatballs and Marinara Sauce

With ground pork, Parmesan, ricotta, parsley, garlic, San Marzano tomatoes, basil and breadcrumbs

Homemade Chocolate Gelato

With milk, dark chocolate, cocoa powder and sugar

The class was fantastic - Chef Chris is both a great teacher and fantastic company, and the food was delicious. I'd gladly recommend it to anyone looking to learn a few recipes, and/or enjoy a wonderful evening!

Nobody used gloves everyone was touching each others food. Chef was pretty rude to one table. Process took forever don’t come starving

Chef Chris was working as an Italian teacher at UC Berkeley when he discovered his passion for cooking. Ever since then, he has been following his passion of cooking and teaching with a focus on regional Italian cuisine. He even co-founded a culinary event business to highlight his skills. Chef Chris teaches an array of different highly regarded cooking classes, many of which are created for corporate teambuilding. He also currently provides walking food tours of Little Italy.
