Cooking Class: Versatile Vegan Tacos
Discover the colorful and flavorful world of plant-based eating in this immersive cooking class led by Chef Maggie. Master chef's secrets for a Mexican feast from scratch. After mashing up a zesty bowl of scratch-made guacamole, you'll press your own tortillas from a hand-mixed dough. Chop, slice and season three veggie fillings with traditional herbs and spices like jackfruit, soy chorizo and mushrooms along with homemade sweet and spicy salsas and black beans with jalapenos for an added kick. For dessert, carefully pipe dough into simmering oil and dust with cinnamon sugar before dunking it in chocolate sauce.

Chef Maggie was a fun instructor - learned some of the tricks of making pasta and the difference between different kinds of herbs like between different types of basil, how to use parsley, benefits of cilantro. Fun to make two types of pasta and enjoy eating them as part of the class. Setting was ok - would have been nicer if prep and cooking area were larger and limits on electricity meant we had to wait a while for water to boil. But it worked out and we had fun!
