Southern soul food is the embodiment of American home cooking. In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Shelley brings family recipes — secret ingredients and all — to teach you how to prepare a soul food spread to make any Southern grandmother proud.

You will begin with a family recipe for red bliss potato salad featuring a secret ingredient that takes this classic soul food dish to a whole new level. You will also make cornflake chicken and waffles with real maple syrup and an innovative carrot cake with pineapple, coconut, pecans and olive oil — sans sugar!
