Cooking Class: Peruvian Tapas Tasting

Chef Gustavo is ready to share his love and knowledge of Peruvian culture and cuisine with you. Using traditional techniques, you'll learn to create classic Peruvian tapas using authentic ingredients such as fresh fish, octopus, potatoes and other hearty vegetables. Selections include a light and citrusy ceviche de pescado, pulpo al olivo with Kalamata olive aioli, a cheesy papa a la huancaĂ­na and a savory lomo saltado with flank steak, tomato and garlic.

Ceviche de Pescado 

Marinated fish of the day, garlic, red onion sauce and habanero pepper


Pulpo al Olivo 

Grilled octopus served with Kalamata olive aioli


Papa a la HuancaĂ­na 

Purple boiled potato with huancahĂ­a sauce


Lomo Saltado 

Stir-fried flank steak pieces, onion, fries, tomato, garlic and pisco

Chef Gustavo was great. He took time to explain the history of the dish and provided lots of tips on how to improve my cooking. Because of him, I will be looking to do more of these classes.
