Cooking Class: Make Steakhouse Supper for Father's Day

Celebrate the big guy on his special day in a hands-on cooking class featuring a fabulous Father's Day menu! Chef Alex leads this lesson in the very best of steakhouse-style cooking. 

You'll prepare a classic wedge salad flavored with the smoky, creamy goodness of bacon and blue cheese before creating a ribeye steak, marinated in a red wine blend and pan-seared to Dad's taste. Cook up creamed spinach and twice-baked potatoes dressed to the nines with all the best toppings and whip up a heavenly chocolate coffee mousse for a top-notch Father's Day dessert. 


Bacon and Blue Cheese Wedge Salad

With iceberg lettuce, buttermilk, red wine vinegar, tomatoes and red onions

Pan-Seared Ribeye Steak and Red Wine Pan Sauce

With cabernet sauvignon, ruby port, garlic, shallots, thyme and butter

Twice Baked Potatoes

With butter, cheddar, chives and sour cream

Cream of Spinach

With whole milk, shallots, garlic, butter, all-purpose flour and nutmeg

Chocolate Coffee Mousse

With heavy cream, gelatin, egg yolks, sugar and simple syrup

Ms. Kelly was a very nice and knowledgable instructor. I would give 5 stars but there were too many people in the class, spreading her attention thin. There was only one cooking station, so people had to wait in line cook the dumplings. Also, we were provided single use disposable plastic forks and cups whic is harmful to the environment.

This class was an absolute blast. Chef Kelly has a true passion for cooking and teaching! She provided all the materials needed to make delicious dumplings. It was a really fun date idea and would recommend to anyone who loves dumplings and want to learn to make them!

We chose this class because we could not use the gift card my nephew gave us for Christmas on premium classes, which totally limited our options. Had he known this was the case he would have looked elsewhere. The class itself was a total disappointment. 20+ people is too many when you only have one pot and one frying pan. We were fortunate to be in the first group she demonstrated wrapping dumplings to or we would have been there all night. Chef Kelly demonstrated 6 ‘wraps’ in rapid fire succession and moved on to the next group. My wife and I struggled to remember what was shown and never had Chef Kelly come back to help. We did our best and headed to the pot to keep the night moving on. I left having no better understanding of preparing dumplings than when I arrived. The description of this event is misleading. The filling is premade, water to ‘seal’ wrappers was filled “after” her demonstration, no napkins on the table to wipe your hands, and it was so loud you could barely hear her very brief instructions. I could learn more on YouTube. Don’t waste your money here.
