Learn modern sushi-making techniques in this engaging cooking class taught by Chef Jimmy. Create two tantalizing sushi dishes that will make you feel like an expertly-trained sushi chef!
To start the class, you'll learn how to make the perfect hand rolls. You'll make fluffy, sticky sushi rice, fill your rolls with tuna and assorted vegetables, and wrap the temaki in fresh nori. Then you will learn the art of making crispy, crunch tempura using shrimp and sweet potato to make a traditional kakiage.

Chef Jimmy is great! The class is fun and informative. We learned how to make great pasta and then we get to eat it at the end. It was delicious!
Meet your chef
After completing military service, Chef Jimmy enrolled in culinary school. Upon completion of his culinary apprenticeship, he earned the title of "certified culinarian" from the American Culinary Federation. He then went on to work at some of the most prestigious properties in the country, including the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Allison to name a few. He also acted as a culinary instructor at the secondary and post-secondary levels. In 2013, Chef was deemed one of the "Best Chefs in Louisiana" and voted among his chef peers as a "young gun".
