Cooking Class: Crafting Stuffed Pasta Dishes

Discover delicious stuffed pasta recipes in this interactive cooking class. Chef Jimmy will guide you through the culinary craft of making three traditional pasta dishes you’ll love. 

Begin by learning to make fresh pasta dough that you'll knead, roll and shape into tender tortellini noodles. You'll learn how to shape and stuff them with meat and fresh cheese. Next, stuff ravioli with spinach and creamy ricotta, and shower your creation with a savory butter sage sauce. Then, end your class by stuffing fresh mushrooms and shallots into tender agnolotti noodles and covering them with a mouthwatering vodka sauce.

He was informative and friendly. He’s very knowledgeable. We had a fun time. It was very long, however. We didn’t have time to eat because of our sitter.

I do not feel like Jimmy was prepared for how long it would take. He also did not have much of a sense of humor and seemed very overwhelmed.

After completing military service, Chef Jimmy enrolled in culinary school. Upon completion of his culinary apprenticeship, he earned the title of "certified culinarian" from the American Culinary Federation. He then went on to work at some of the most prestigious properties in the country, including the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Allison to name a few. He also acted as a culinary instructor at the secondary and post-secondary levels. In 2013, Chef was deemed one of the "Best Chefs in Louisiana" and voted among his chef peers as a "young gun".
