In this hands-on cooking class with Chef Ricky, you'll learn how to create the bánh mì sandwich, a renowned Vietnamese specialty consisting of a baguette stuffed with various meats and vegetables. First, you'll learn how to prepare shrimp spring rolls filled with vegetables, herbs and vermicelli noodles. Then, Chef Ricky will teach you how to make bánh mì from scratch with lemongrass chicken, pickled vegetables, cilantro and spicy mayonnaise, with sweet potato fries on the side. You'll finish with a favorite Asian dessert — mango sticky rice!

Absolutely was a pleasure to learn and cook with Chef Ricky. Everything was setup perfectly, the vibes were immaculate, the food was delicious. We were so nervous because we’ve never done a cooking class before but this time spent with Chef Ricky was the most wholesome and genuine experience! Will be back with friends!!

I have been wanting to learn about sous vide for a long time. In fact, my husband and I are now looking at purchasing a sous vide and vacuum sealer! I recommend Chef Ricky for this class and others. I’m hoping to do a sushi class with him next. The food was delicious and the best part is I learned how to make it! Chef Ricky keeps you engaged in the process step by step and very entertaining with his knowledge of food and cooking. Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed.

Chef Ricky is a research and development chef and chef instructor bringing nearly 40 years of professional culinary experience to the table. He notes his greatest achievements to be the development and launch of multiple successful Asian restaurants and business concepts, as well as coaching an American Culinary Federation team to two national championships. Chef Ricky specializes in Pacific Rim cooking and is passionate about helping aspiring chefs turn their dreams into reality.
