Cooking Class: Learn Sushi-Making Basics
Sushi lovers will get the best lesson ever in this hands-on cooking class with Chef Jimmy. You'll unroll the secrets of sushi-making with an expert to guide you along the way.
In this fun class, Chef Jimmy will start by teaching everyone how to make perfectly-textured sushi rice. Then, learn to select, slice and layer ingredients for two classic sushi rolls. Using traditional techniques, you'll roll up a smoked salmon and avocado roll and a savory vegetable roll for an impressive, restaurant-worthy presentation!
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages from the venue to enjoy during the class.

It was a fun class. Lots to learn in one class but a good starting point. Throughout the class chef jimmy said he will send you a document that has all the info, and you didn’t need to take notes. It was never sent to us. I tried contacting class pop but heard nothing back.

Meet your chef
After completing military service, Chef Jimmy Lê enrolled in culinary school. Upon completion of his culinary apprenticeship, he earned the title of "certified culinarian" from the American Culinary Federation. He then went on to work at some of the most prestigious properties in the country, including the Ritz Carlton Hotel and the Allison to name a few. He also acted as a culinary instructor at the secondary and post-secondary levels. In 2013, Chef Lê was deemed one of the "Best Chefs in Louisiana" and voted among his chef peers as a "young gun".
