Kick up your starter skills with Chef Shailini in this interactive cooking class. You'll learn how to prepare five hors d'oeuvres that will impress at your next gathering or backyard event. Start by learning how to work with phyllo dough to create savory French palmiers and Greek spanakopita. Next up is Sicilian caponata with eggplant, herbs and pine nuts, coconut chicken and deviled eggs with candied bacon, capers and lemon. Toast the evening with a sparkling drink.

We had an amazing time cooking with Chef Shailini. She is warm, welcoming and generously shares her knowledge of cooking. Everything was delicious and we learned lots of helpful techniques along the way. I would highly recommend this class!

The evening was wonderful! Shailini led us in preparing an excellent meal and gave us plenty of tips and tricks a long the way. She cultivated a very friendly and welcoming environment that helped us enjoy an evening of leaning and eating with strangers. It was a wonderful time!
Meet your chef
Born in Nepal the daughter of a well-known diplomat, Chef Shailini has lived all around the world. She taught at Boston and Northeastern universities before moving on to several well-known Boston institutions to explore her true passion: teaching her students to create food that emphasizes nutrition as well as flavor. In addition to her culinary and teaching endeavors, Chef Shailini also participates in several volunteer efforts.
