In this hands-on cooking class, Chef Shelley will teach you how to create a classic New Orleans brunch unraveling the mystery of distinctive regional flavors.

I recently attended a cooking class that was a complete disaster. The chef leading the class was incredibly disorganized and unprofessional, which made for an extremely frustrating experience. To begin with, the chef didn't seem to have any regard for the dietary restrictions of some of the guests. Despite being informed in advance, the chef continued to use ingredients that were not suitable for everyone, which was extremely disappointing and showed a complete lack of consideration. The chef separated the class into two groups. However, towards the end, the chef mixed the ingredients together. This was not dietarily suitable for some members of the class. Furthermore, the chef was not professional in the slightest. During the class, the chef took a personal phone call, which was incredibly distracting and made it difficult to concentrate on the lesson. It was clear that the chef was not invested in teaching the class and didn't care about the participants' experience. What's more, instead of allowing us to do all of the cooking ourselves, the chef cooked the majority of the food. This meant that we didn't get the hands-on experience that we were expecting and ended up feeling like we were just watching the chef cook. To make matters worse, the chef was negative towards one of the guests, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere for everyone. It was clear that the chef lacked the people skills necessary to effectively lead a cooking class. Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the class. The chef's lack of organization, disregard for dietary restrictions, unprofessional behavior, and negative attitude, coupled with the fact that we didn't get to do much cooking ourselves, made for a terrible experience.
