Cooking Class: Rustic Italian Risotto
In this in-person cooking class, Chef Luana shares her techniques and variations for preparing rich and creamy risotto. You'll begin with an appetizer of fresh burrata with arugula and shaved Parmigiano Reggiano. The risotto is accompanied by your choice of mushrooms and black truffles or shrimp and zucchini. A rustic yet elegant ending is homemade crostatine, or crostata. These delicate mini Italian pies are filled with fresh homemade preserves and provide sweet balance to this authentic Italian meal.

First time with Chef Luana and YOU have to go! It’s the cutest spot. The risotto is to die for. IT WAS FIRE!! The chef was very attentive and the apricot crostata was so amazing and we will definitely be back again. She made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience.

Chef Luana provided us such a great experience! It was my first time going to a cooking class and I have no cooking experience at all. She was very patient and even showed us how pasta was made in Italy before the advent of modern tools. She served us homemade Bruschetta for appetizer (so good!) The rest of the menu is: Spaghetti ragu Fettuccine mushroom and sausage Fruit salad for dessert Chef Luana took care of us and we had an amazing dinner experience. I would definitely recommend!

Chef Luana inherited her culinary passion from her grandmother. Born and raised in Italy, she found success as an entrepreneur after establishing a beachside restaurant in her home country while mastering the time-honored art of pizza oven cuisine. She is one of Italy’s precious few professional female pizza makers who utilizes wood-oven cookery. Chef Luana’s classes breathe new life into old-world recipes and traditional techniques as she passes her considerable knowledge to her students.
