If you're looking for fresh meal ideas or want to explore vegetarian Indian cuisine, this cooking class is a great place to start.
India is the mecca of vegetarian food, with some of the most diverse and flavorful plant-based dishes in the world. With Chef Shankari as your guide, you'll make traditional dishes like dal tadka, where red lentils are slow-cooked with Serrano pepper and ginger, as well as kheer — a light, creamy pudding made with vermicelli, milk, cardamom and sugar. You'll also prepare crispy vegetable cutlets with potatoes, then make a comforting black-eyed pea curry infused with garam masala. One of the best things about this session is that along the way, you'll learn about the cultural roots of each recipe and the techniques that bring out the bold spices of Indian cuisine.
