Cooking Class: Simple Homemade Fare

Discover the art of crafting simple food from fresh ingredients in this immersive cooking class with Chef Janet. Rather than living off of unfulfilling meals like ramen and yogurt, subsist on something stronger: clear-cut recipes and a basic level of culinary knowledge. Begin your meal by preparing a Mexican skillet involving black beans, sweet potato and peppers. Continue by discovering food processing methods for meatballs or a vegetarian option. Allow a professional chef to teach you how to blend canned salmon, egg, flour and seasoning to craft delectable healthy nuggets.

Вот более сбалансированный отзыв на английском, который отмечает и плюсы, и серьезный недостаток: I really enjoyed the chef and the cooking class itself. She was knowledgeable, engaging, and made the experience fun. Unfortunately, the venue completely overshadowed the experience. The class was held in a distillery with no air conditioning, and it was well over 100°F inside. There weren’t even any fans provided. It was extremely hot, difficult to breathe, and everyone was soaked with sweat. It became hard to focus on the cooking because we were so uncomfortable. This is summer in Chicago, and hot weather should be expected. Holding a cooking class in an enclosed space without air conditioning or even basic ventilation is simply poor planning. I hope the organizers will either choose an air-conditioned venue or provide adequate cooling in the future, because the chef deserved a much better environment for her class.
