Cooking Class: Japanese Maki Rolls

Maki is the name for Japanese sushi rolls that are sliced — as we typically see them in the U.S. While there are many types of sushi, maki is one of the most popular. Learn how to make your own handmade maki in this guided cooking class with Chef Nancy.

Begin with umami maki that showcases the savory fifth taste. This sushi roll includes Parmesan, which enhances umami qualities. Next, you will make a traditional seafood roll filled with seafood, fresh vegetables and Spam.

Our cooking classes are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

Came to this event with my BF for a date night and we didnt enjoy it much. The venue was in a dirty pub and there was no seating so we all had to stand for 2 hours. Chef Nancy was friendly but seemed tipsy and unorganized. I don't think it was worth the cost.
