Cooking Class: Pasta-Making for Kid Chefs

Get your little ones in on the magic of homemade pasta in a cooking class for aspiring chefs! With help from Chef ShaSha, your junior gourmets can learn to create a full-blown Italian meal, complete with all the tasty trimmings. 


They'll create an antipasto of charcuterie kebabs, featuring meats, cheeses and veggies, before making their own pasta from scratch with either fettucine-style or macaroni and cheese. They'll also learn the art of Italian desserts with a lesson in pinch cookies. Adults can opt to nibble on a grazing board as part of the class. All children ages 8 to 18 attending as paid guests must be accompanied by a paid adult guest.

Chef ShaSha was terrific with my daughters. She is a great instructor, was very well organized with a fun plan and everyone had a blast. The food they made was delicious. I would highly recommend her.

Today we had Sha Sha come to our home for an Italian cooking class. She had all the cooking supplies and food to prep and cook with her. She went over what she was going to show us how to make and gave us several choices for the pasta making, the bread, and the dessert. Everything was well organized! We liked that she would show us what and how to do stuff and then let us step in to finish the dish or start another process. My partner and I have different skill levels of cooking, he’s much more skilled than I, but Sha Sha went with the flow, and we each did things that were new. It got more exciting as we went along. She even let us like the bowls of leftover ingredients for dessert and cheese. Yum!! It was like having a friend teach us how to cook the food. Sha Sha is a great teacher/friend as she knows her Italian cooking and presents in a way that is easy to catch on. We also loved when she told us about the history of Italian cooking, the different foods that are made in the north and south of Italy. We really like that she’s going to give us the recipes of what we made so we can try them ourselves. After she left, we ate the ravioli, the bread (so good but can’t remember the name), and the dessert. There is plenty left for more meals later in the week. Thank you, again, Sha Sha!! We will definitely have you over again and this time we’ll bring more friends and family.
