Cooking Class: Making Macaroons and Macarons

Macaroons and macarons might not be interchangeable, but they're both delightful sweet treats that you'll learn how to make in this fun cooking class!  In this interactive class taught by Chef Lisa, you'll learn the delicious difference between these two iconic cookies and how to make them expertly every time.


First, you'll master the art of the classic macaroon, which has a distinctly crunchy exterior and a smooth, chewy interior. You'll roll these treats in shredded coconut and toast them to perfection. Next, you'll make the beloved French sandwich macaron cookies, which consist of two delicate almond cookies pressed together with smooth ganache or jam. Lastly, Chef Lisa will teach you how to make a no-bake chocolate macaroon made from cashew butter and apricot jam.

Fun recipes! The class moves VERY fast though! We prepped everything ahead of time and had two people in the kitchen, and were still struggling to keep on track. Be prepared to have to finish the majority of the actual baking after the class!
