Cooking Class: Making Macaroons and Macarons

Macaroons and macarons might not be interchangeable, but they're both delightful sweet treats that you'll learn how to make in this fun cooking class!  In this interactive class taught by Chef Lisa, you'll learn the delicious difference between these two iconic cookies and how to make them expertly every time.


First, you'll master the art of the classic macaroon, which has a distinctly crunchy exterior and a smooth, chewy interior. You'll roll these treats in shredded coconut and toast them to perfection. Next, you'll make the beloved French sandwich macaron cookies, which consist of two delicate almond cookies pressed together with smooth ganache or jam. Lastly, Chef Lisa will teach you how to make a no-bake chocolate macaroon made from cashew butter and apricot jam.

After a number of tries, I was unable to connect via Zoom - error message that the link was invalid. Tried Classpop support but there was no one available. I will say that Chef Lisa provided sufficient details so that I could create the Macarons on my own. There was some kind of disconnect at ClassPop! so I provided a single star.
