Sarah was very sweet and fun, she has a very engaging personality. Two suggestions would be beneficial: 1. Start with less chili and taste as the dish cooks. It was so hot, a few of us were having a difficult time eating and enjoying the dish. 2. When mentoring, I encourage young women avoid 'up speak' . Up Speak is a rising inflection in one's voice, ending a sentence with a higher pitch (rising inflection), resulting in the sentence to sound like a question. Lake Bell addressed up speak in the movie In A World. She asserts this is one of the reasons women don't advance in careers or may not be taken seriously. When up speak occurs, audiences wonder: Am I being asked or told (about the steps of making a dish)? My suggestion to all presenters are to remove all barriers, and the first one is a distracting speaking habit. I hope you consider my last comment constructive!
