With Chef Karen as your guide, you’ll start by preparing a classic pico de gallo with tomatoes, white onion and cilantro. Then, you’ll prepare tender roast chicken with charred tomatoes and learn how to assemble it all in warm corn tortillas. You’ll also mix up creamy guacamole with avocado, lime and cilantro, plus a bright chimichurri made with fresh herbs, garlic and olive oil. Chef Karen was an incredible teacher. The class was inviting and I was encouraged to get out of my comfort zone with flavours, techniques, and foods. Would strongly recommend this class and Chef Karen as an instructor for all levels of home cooks.

She works as a private chef and cooking instructor and formerly owned her own prepared meals and catering company. In Chef Karen's words: “Great cooking isn’t about recipes, it’s about techniques," which she aims to pass along to her students. She prides herself on offering cooking classes and team-building events that are fun, hands-on and educational.
