Cooking Class: Homemade Pizza From Scratch

Learn the basics of creating a comfort food favorite at home, anytime you want it!


Authentic homemade pizza is an easy task when you learn how in this cooking class with Chef Antonio. He’s gathered a selection of satisfying variations on dough, cheese, and sauce to whet the appetites of pizza lovers eager to learn how to make it themselves!


Using a professional gas-fired oven and real tools of the trade, you’ll create your choice of appetizer, mozzarella sticks or fried arancini, a classic margherita pizza, and a classic Italian calzone with provolone, mortadella, salami and capocollo. And for a sweet treat, you’ll create a dessert pizza featuring your choice of coconut or Nutella.

Chef Antonio is great. I really love how he emphasis that it's not about measurements, it's about feeling and what seems right to you. The class is too big. Cut it by ten people and then you'd have a really wonderful experience.

The chef seemed like a really nice experienced guy but the overall setting and amount of supplies was too crammed and not enough for the group of 37 people there. We all stood around two tables and some people never got to even make pasta because of the lack of space with the equipment. Also the pasta tasted horrible and the tomato basil sauce advertised was just cut up cherry tomatoes and oil with no flavor. Could have been better.

You don’t get any more authentic Italian than chef Antonio! He was very patient and he answered everyone’s questions not just about making pasta but also about visiting Italy. He is a very well traveled master chef and my friend and I truly enjoyed our experience tonight.

Chef Antonio's class was excellent. The atmosphere was light and fun. We were able to learn how to make many different types of pastas and the class was very hands on. Chef Antonio did an excellent job teaching us different techniques and skills to bring home to our own kitchen. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Would definitely recommend his classes!

Chef Antonio was great and I would recommend working with him in the future. He was knowledgable and friendly. The class was disorganized, not structured, and did not have enough equipment (i.e. two mixers for 30 people). I also expected a basil tomato sauce, but there was no basil. Additionally, there was not enough food and we went home hungry. I expected everyone to make their own individual pasta and be able to eat a hearty portion that night.

Chef Antonio was awesome. It was a small class which made it a great experience and a lot of hands-on. He talked to us throughout the entire class and explain the process step-by-step and even when things didn’t work out he showed us how to fix them because these are things that would probably most likel chef Antonio was awesome. Making the dough for the raviolis look like it was going to fail but with his expertise and telling us what to do we didn’t give up and things came out terrific. Now we’re going to make our own at home He’s an awesome teacher, instructor, speaker, and person.

Chef Antonio was marvelous! I learned how to make four delicious dishes that were inspired from Italy. I learned about his experiences living there and connection to each dish. I was always intimidated by making gnocchi and with Antonio's class I feel like I can do it! A great experience and highly recommend it!

I first met Antonio at a restaurant downtown, and I've also seen him at a few highly regarded private events around town. Everyone I've met who's tried his food has been full of compliments. After our class with him, I definitely agree! Each dish was delicious in its own way, and the presentation was great. Everyone (including me) tried to get his number to hire him for their events. Chef Antonio does an amazing job, and I would recommend him without hesitation.

Chef Antonio gave my family and I an evening to remember! He posses a deep understanding of Italian food and was clearly very comfortable in the kitchen. The meal began with appetizers that looked just as delicious as they tasted. Antonio taught us quite a bit about Italian food and culture, and each dish was remarkable. He was highly organized and clean in his work. We booked him for a family reunion, and we'll definitely hire him again the same next time we get together!
