Chef Monica shares her family's culinary heritage in a special in-person cooking class focusing on traditional Ukrainian dining. You'll learn time-honored recipes that have been handed down through Chef Monica's family as you prepare a satisfying spread of authentic favorites.
Begin your lesson with a classic borscht featuring red turnips and garden-fresh vegetables alongside varenyky, savory dumplings made with sour cream and potatoes. Next, learn the secrets to preparing a hearty gulasch loaded with beef, onions, peppers and paprika. For a traditional dessert, whip up crĂŞpes dressed with cherries and sour cream.

The class was supposed to be a competition. At the end, Monica said she could not judge so "everyone is a winner". We had bought prizes for only the winning team. We were also told we would learn how to make sauces. She made one, brought another from a different chef, and bypassed the alfredo sauce. Very disappointing for almost $1,000.

Location wasn’t quite what I expected, but Chef Monica was just the sweetest. I really enjoyed a solo date night learning how to make pasta. Immediately went online to buy my own pasta maker. Thank you for your kind attitude and sharing your passion. The pasta and experience was *chef’s kiss*!
