The chef didn’t show up and did not call. I called class pop but I had to leave a message. I am still waiting on a refund.

Really poorly prepared class…didn’t even get to make 2 rolls

This class did not live up to its promises. Advertised per-ticket as a two-roll experience featuring real seafood (Philly Roll and Shrimp Tempura Roll), we ended up making a single California Roll with imitation crab. The chef was unprepared for the class size, resulting in insufficient supplies that led to sharing rolling mats with strangers and not enough food for participants to make their own sushi roll. My husband and I (who each had a ticket) made and split a single roll, when it was advertised that each person would be making two rolls. This experience was a letdown, and I strongly discourage participating. Save your money and choose a reputable sushi restaurant instead.

3 spoon of rice for 7 people . When we asked for extra rice they told us to wrap it with veggies. Poor presentation. Poor quality

This sushi making experience was very misleading as I had no idea it is going to be in an open tent nor there was any mention of a satellite parking location that required to be shuttled in. If I knew, I would have made it there well in advance. Moreover, there was a group of us (7 to be exact) and we were given enough ingredients for barely 3 rolls to be made. When we asked for more rice to make our rolls, we were told to just wrap veggies into the seaweed and eat it like that. Between seven of us, we paid $385 and ended up with 3 rolls made with half blackened avocados which we did not eat. Very disappointing

The food was phenomenal and the presentation exceeded my expectations! I look forward to attending another of Tierra's events!
