This was interesting. The location was TERRIBLE—an outdoor heated tent with picnic tables at some sort of multi-tent bar establishment. A parking shuttle was required as there was no parking onsite. Drinks and food and restrooms were a cold walk up the hill. The class started 40 minutes late with no explanation. Chef Lyndsey was ok, she had some knowledge about sushi preparation (after hearing her extensive pastry chef bio I wasn’t sure) and I enjoyed the actual making of it, although it was very hard to hear her over the heaters. I do not think I would sign up for another Classpop class, I was under the impression that the cost translated into a classier experience.

Chef Lyndsey was very kind, funny and informative. Great to learn from while doing our Sushi making class. The reason why I am giving 4 stars is because Classpop didn’t disclose was that we would be handling raw sushi outdoors in a tent, on a picnic table. It made us feel a little uneasy to handle and eat the food we created. There were no sinks to wash our hands so we resorted to hand sanitizer. Would prefer notice for any future classes not held in a kitchen so we can have better clarity when selecting a class.

Lyndsey was organized, skilled and gave lots of detail on the specific technique - I've been wanting to learn sushi making for years and now thanks to her I feel confident to do it myself at home

We really enjoyed Chef Lindsay, however, the venue was disappointing. We were on picnic tables on mulch in a large tent. I took my 82-year-old father for his birthday, and he was terribly uncomfortable. They only set out areas to roll sushi for two of us but I paid for three people. There were no drinks or waters available in our tent nor restrooms. I would recommend chef Lindsay and the class was fun but overall the experience was disappointing for my dad. It seemed like class pop was just trying to save money on a venue but having it at, a restaurant would’ve been much more enjoyable.

Chef Lyndsey was nice and funny. The sushi lesson was interesting and definitely something me and my wife can add to our kitchen repertoire. Thanks
