Cooking Class: Street Tacos Workshop

Join Chef Susie for a culinary trip to the streets of Mexico as you learn how to prepare street food favorites in this fun cooking class. The class will kick off with an appetizer of guacamole, pico de gallo and pasilla sauce. Then, Chef Susie will teach you the secret to cooking up delicious homemade corn tortillas before you dive into the taco making. Using authentic ingredients such as ancho chilis, Cojita cheese and lots of cilantro, you’ll construct flavorful chicken street tacos bursting with flavor. Lastly, for dessert, you'll whip up a creamy chocolate mousse made with avocados, nondairy milk, oranges and a dash of cinnamon.

This was our first cooking class and chef Susie was amazing! She made it really fun and she taught me a lot about knife skills. Our tacos were super yummy and I can’t wait to take another class with her!

Suzy was absolutely amazing. There’s no better way to describe her knowledge, skill set, and patience. She did not rush us at all (despite our clumsy slowness with technique) and was able to correct and encourage. I cannot believe how much we learned in one class. She certainly went beyond the recipe to teach us about the importance of “time and temperature” and how to taste as you go to ensure the flavors fit your palate. I have walked away with so many new skills I can start applying right away and generalize to recipes I commonly make. The food did turn out so well, though, thanks to her guidance and expertise. The ambience was also lovely. Highly HIGHLY recommend!!!

Susie showed me how to make a plant based chocolate pudding with the base being avocados. She had a beautiful kitchen space with all of her ingredients lined up. She was very informative of each ingredient letting me know what the ingredient added to the dish. Her end presentation was beautiful. She also suggested alternative ingredients for different variations of the dish. I felt like I learned alot from her class.
