During this online cooking class, Chef Kumi will guide you through the fundamentals of rolling up classic temari sushi favorites from the comforts of your home.
Discover how easy it is to create iconic ball-shaped rolls using authentic ingredients including sake, kombu, Japanese rice vinegar, smoked salmon, prawns, crab sticks and more. Learn how to handcraft a variety of tart and spicy sauces for pairing. Finish your virtual cooking class by learning how to create a classic chawan mushi soup.

Chef Kumi was born and raised in Japan and developed an interest in cooking early in life while helping her mother in the kitchen. She attended college in the U.S. and culinary school in Switzerland, though her longing to understand local food cultures has taken her across Asia, where she’s lived and worked for the past 20 years. Having taught at various culinary schools, Chef Kumi has become passionate about sharing her experience and knowledge.
