Cooking Class: A Culinary Journey Through Spain

Travel through the different culinary regions of Spain in this hands-on cooking class. The chef has prepared a menu of classic recipes that truly span the varied culinary traditions of this country. First you'll prepare a few kinds of tapas, including pan con tomate and papas bravas. Then, you'll learn to make the Valencian version of paella packed with seafood, meat, vegetables and seasoned with saffron. For dessert, you'll enjoy a creamy Catalan dessert with cinnamon, orange and lemon. 


Tapas: Croquetas de Bacalao, Pan con Tomate and Papas Bravas 

With salt cod, breadcrumb, eggs, tomatoes, potatoes, paprika and fresh herbs

Paella a la Valenciana 

With shrimp, clams, mussels, chicken, sausage, saffron, peas and string beans

Crema Catalana 

With eggs, milk, cream, orange, lemon, cinnamon and corn starch

His adventures in the world of food preparation took him through Europe and eventually brought him to New York, where he manages a catering company and volunteers teaching children's cooking classes. With a focus on sushi, Italian and French cuisines, Chef Ivan is always excited to share novel kitchen techniques with his guests and students.
