Cooking Class: Bento Box Magic

Discover the magic of a Japanese bento box in this interactive cooking class with Chef Ivan. He'll teach you the basics of creating a balanced bento box and then help you prepare a variety of recipes to fill your bento box. Some selections include umami-packed miso soup with tofu, pan-seared pork dumplings, fresh sushi and more. You'll also learn to make vanilla ube ice cream with purple potatoes as a sweet treat to end this bento box class.

Chef Stefano was amazing! Was a great activity - where you’re learning to make homemade pasta and creating authentic recipes in a relaxed and totally enjoyable atmosphere! Highly recommend for family, friends and couples.

Chef Ivan began attending culinary school at the tender age of 14. His adventures in the world of food preparation took him through Europe and eventually brought him to New York, where he manages a catering company and volunteers teaching children's cooking classes. With a focus on sushi, Italian and French cuisines, Chef Ivan is always excited to share novel kitchen techniques with his guests and students.
