Cooking Class: Traditional Japanese Bento Box
In this cooking class with Chef Vivian and Michi, you'll learn the art of plating Japanese bento boxes while learning the history of this long culinary tradition. To begin, you'll prepare the bento recipes. This will involve first making a ginger-spiced beef gyoza and Japanese potato salad with cucumbers and dill before preparing a shio salmon paired with bok choy and asparagus and daifuku, a rice cake with red bean. After your bento dishes have been made, Chef Vivian and Michi will then guide you through the process of artfully plating each dish into a bento box.

They don’t call it “sushi making secrets” for nothing. We learned sooo much and the sushi and desert was really good. The chefs were really nice and personable. They definitely put in the 10,000 hours to know what they’re talking about. My mom said it was her best birthday ever!!!!
