This cooking class will teach you to make a delightful and charming spread for a peaceful afternoon tea fit for hungry hobbits. This hobbit–themed menu is full of light and sweet treats straight from the Shire!
Learn to make fresh scones from scratch to be spread with delightful homemade fresh fruit jam. You’ll also make savory meat pies with beef or turkey, apples, raisins and an expert's selection of spices. Learn to make fluffy honey cakes with a citrusy hint of lemon to pair perfectly with your selection of warming tea. Take your new skills home and get ready to set up an unforgettable tea party!

Chef Linda was wonderful! Our group enjoyed learning cooking techniques, helpful tips and with a sprinkle of humor and history. The dishes were flavorful and we greatly enjoyed her company. Highly recommend!

We learned loads of tips about knives, salt, cleaning the smell of garlic off your hands … and then there was the food which was delicious. A great evening of education and deliciousness
Meet your chef
Chef Linda brings a long and varied list of experiences to the table, from teaching to penning a book on food history. She has extensive experience in cooking instruction with adults and children, and enjoys showing others how to recreate traditional dishes for those with food allergies or special diets. Chef Linda brings great flavors, accessible techniques and interesting stories together for delightful culinary experiences.
