Learn the secrets of making flaky empanadas and enjoy them fresh with this fun, hands-on cooking class led by Chef Doug. You will craft these fried favorites with flavors influenced from around the Latin world.
First, Chef Doug will teach you the proper technique to make the perfect flaky empanada dough before cooking the fillings. Puerto Rican empanadas feature a fresh picadillo filling, while Chilean features a savory shrimp and the chicken filling has Filipino influences. Then, craft a sweet apple filling and homemade dulce de leche to make your perfect dessert empanada .
