Take a trip to the French Quarter of New Orleans in this exciting, hands-on cooking class with Chef Linda. You’ll learn all about the evolution of this region’s cuisine, including the differences between Cajun and Creole fare. Chef Linda will teach you how to make several classic N’Awlins: BBQ shrimp, gumbo and hushpuppies. A true Big Easy meal isn’t complete without something sweet: you’ll finish the meal with sinfully delicious pecan pralines. Laissez les bons temps rouler!

Chef Linda was wonderful! Our group enjoyed learning cooking techniques, helpful tips and with a sprinkle of humor and history. The dishes were flavorful and we greatly enjoyed her company. Highly recommend!

We learned loads of tips about knives, salt, cleaning the smell of garlic off your hands … and then there was the food which was delicious. A great evening of education and deliciousness
Meet your chef
Chef Linda brings a long and varied list of experiences to the table, from teaching to penning a book on food history. She has extensive experience in cooking instruction with adults and children, and enjoys showing others how to recreate traditional dishes for those with food allergies or special diets. Chef Linda brings great flavors, accessible techniques and interesting stories together for delightful culinary experiences.
