Chef Charles himself was good and gave a nice presentation. But I felt as though it was a little miss advertised. The description made it sound like we were going to be making everything ourselves, from the dough, to the sauce. When in reality it was just a chef demonstration of HOW to make things, which okay, someone cooking for me for a change, that’s nice. But then we all got to make 1 single ravioli. While I’m not saying we should have had a full course meal, for $60 to have 1 ravioli seems like a ripoff. What was even kind of more annoying was that the chef made 2 raviolis as demonstrations and ate both of them in front of us. I left hungry and ended up paying more at the bar that the event was held at. There was so much crab filling left over and pasta dough just from prepping it, that it seemed weird that we didn’t make more. It also only lasted an hour vs two as advertised so it’s not like we ran out of time. Overall, he gave a nice presentation and I think he’s a good chef as the food tasted good but the experience wasn’t what it was thought to be, even the other guests said the same thing in a brief moment when he walked away for something.
