Cooking Class: From Dumplings to Noodles

From dumplings to stir fry, you will master the basics of cooking traditional Chinese dishes with the expert help of Chef Mary. Take on four courses of culinary magic to make at home later. First, you will whip up steamed or pan-fried dumplings stuffed with ground chicken, mushrooms and, of course, ginger. Next, you will work with egg noodles, scallions, oyster sauce and mushrooms to perfect a longevity noodles dish before moving on to its cousin course, stir-fried bok choy with, yet again, ginger! Finally, you will prepare a delightfully light dessert of fresh fruit and sago.

Steamed or Pan-Fried Dumplings

With dumpling dough of flour and water, ground chicken, shiitake mushrooms, salt, pepper and ginger


Longevity Noodles With Scallions and Mushrooms

With egg noodles, scallions, mushrooms, oyster sauce and sesame oil


Stir-Fried Bok Choy With Ginger and Garlic

With Shanghai baby bok choy, ginger, garlic, olive oil, salt and rice wine


Fresh Fruit and Sago With Coconut

With strawberries, cantaloupe, coconut milk, sago pearls and sugar
