Cooking Class: A Taste of Dubai
Transport yourself to Dubai in this immersive cooking class. Chef Akshay will teach you the recipes and techniques to crafting authentic Middle Eastern favorites. First, learn how to make a flavorful black hummus with black chickpeas and smoked chestnuts. Next, whip up a manakeesh from scratch and top it with goat cheese and ground meat or mock meat for a delicious za'atar flatbread. Then prepare a side dish of your choice, either a blushing tzatziki or a tri-herb tabouleh. Finish the meal with Arabian desserts made with cream poached dates, pastry dough, pistachios and almonds.

Hello, The class very good. Chef Akshay provided some good tips and tricks, and made the recipes not over-whelming. The recipes and food were very good. The reason for the 4 star vs a 5 star was the amount of food we received for the money. We made a large amount of food, but the portions served to us were very small. As an example, we made 12 dumplings, but were only served 4 (2 each). We made a large WOK of Singapore noodles, but were given a small portion. We literally stopped for food on the way home. I have taken cooking classes before and leave very full AND with a "doggy-bag". Unfortunately, with this one, we left hungry and empty handed. BUT the class, the food and the experience was very good.
