Cooking Class: Regional French Fare
Let
Chef Zach lead you on a unique and eye-opening culinary exploration through the
regions of France.
French cuisine is diverse in flavors, ingredients and disciplines. In this hands-on
cooking class taught by Chef Zach, you’ll learn what makes each region so distinct
and prepare a selection of dishes central to each.
You’ll
create a savory tart flambée from the mountains in northeastern Alsace-Lorraine,
and a salad crafted with poached eggs from Central Burgundy, in Lyon. A
steak au poivre sizzles at the heart of your menu, before the quaint streets of
Paris bring you around sweetly with a dessert of fresh crêpes.

Flatbread with handmade dough, crème fraîche, bacon and onions
Salade Lyonnaise
With frisée greens, poached eggs, bacon lardons and Dijon mustard
Steak au Poivre With Cognac Cream Sauce
With strip or ribeye steak and black peppercorns

With Nutella, strawberries and handmade whipped cream

Learning how to cook with Chef Zach was a very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable experience. The food we prepared was delicious, and used simple enough ingredients to be able to recreate the dishes at home. I would highly recommend!
