Paint and Sip: Creative Crew Party - Atlanta

Formal Complaint & Refund Request – Pumpkin Pickup Paint and Sip, September 12 Dear Classpop Customer Support, I am writing to formally express my disappointment with the Pumpkin Pickup Paint and Sip with Instructor and Team on September 12, 2026, at Talk Tales Entertainment in Los Angeles. I purchased two tickets and chose this experience specifically to celebrate my friend’s birthday. What was supposed to be a fun, relaxed paint-and-sip outing unfortunately became an experience that left me uncomfortable, disappointed, and feeling that the value of what we received did not match what I paid for. First, the class started late but still ended early. That alone significantly reduced the amount of instructional and painting time we received. The instruction itself also contributed to the experience. The instructor frequently seemed to be operating in her own world rather than keeping track of the group’s progress. The pacing and flow were difficult to follow, and as the session progressed, the instructions felt increasingly hurried. For a guided painting experience, I expected clearer direction, better pacing, and enough time for guests to actually enjoy the creative process. There were also serious issues with the venue. Food that was served to us appeared moldy, which was extremely concerning and immediately affected my comfort level. I separately spent $52.98 at Talk Tales Entertainment on food, beverages, tax and gratuity during the event. Having a food-quality issue of that nature during an experience booked through Classpop made the overall situation even more unpleasant. I was also surprised by the beverage arrangement. This was marketed as a “Paint and Sip” experience, and I reasonably believed that some type of beverage would be included with the experience. Instead, drinks had to be purchased separately at the venue. If beverages are not included in the ticket price, I believe that should be made especially clear during booking so customers understand exactly what “sip” entails before purchasing. What bothers me most is that this was supposed to be a birthday experience with a friend. Instead of leaving happy and wanting to commemorate the afternoon, I felt uncomfortable enough that I did not even want to participate in the group photograph at the end of the class. That is not how I expected to feel after an activity I specifically selected and paid for as a celebration. Any one of these issues might have been disappointing on its own. Taken together—the late start, early ending, rushed and disconnected instruction, questionable food quality, unexpected additional beverage expense, and overall uncomfortable atmosphere—the experience fell substantially short of my expectations. Given the circumstances, I am requesting that Classpop refund the cost of both tickets. I would appreciate your reviewing the booking. This was my first impression of what a Classpop experience could be, and unfortunately, based on this experience, I do not anticipate booking another Classpop class. Please let me know how Classpop intends to resolve this matter.

Great instructor. Had a great time

Linda

07 Aug 2026

I enjoyed the class. I didn't like my art but it was not because Celia did not give good instructions. She was very helpful and I would recommend her classes to anyone.

Phil

02 Aug 2026

Our instructor was actually Mooray, not Celia. Mooray was excellent. Very pleasant, yet fun and personable. I would take another class with her and recommend her to others for a cool experience.

Brooke

29 Jul 2026

Amy Lee was the best instructor for our group! She timed the phases of our painting perfectly and encouraged everyone to let loose and just have fun. We had a few perfectionists and she made them feel supported and seen! I had such a good time with her and her beautiful rainbow hair! We are for sure going to hire her again. What an incredibly fun evening!

We had a great time! Celia was incredibly fun. She’s definitely passionate about her work and teaching!

Alena

29 May 2026

Zack was a great instructor. Very useful tips, flexible yet kept the class on time. (Since I'm not a good drawer, I would have liked more structure - even a template - for the tree branches. I think mine looks more like an Oak than a Cherry!? With Zack's guidance in mixing colors, though, the paint colors are spot-on!)

Samantha

27 May 2026

The class was fun. Not happy with the advertising of the class. Should’ve specified that there are not alcoholic drinks available (not even for purchase). I saw another similar review as well.

Christin

24 May 2026

The Student and The Teacher😂 He did an awesome job guiding us through the steps and was so positive throughout the whole experience.

12 May 2026

It was a great class everyone was super nice the painting was easily explained!! Will Go to another one of her classes!!

Daniel

03 May 2026

the actual painting experience was wonderful. our instructor derek was super helpful and provided a lot of good techniques to get us started while also inspiring us to get creative with our color choices towards the end. the downside to this experience was that it was advertised as a paint AND sip, which i would have thought there would be like maybe one drink that was offered with the class for free. it turns out that the class itself was held at a brewery and that each drink had to be purchased separately. it felt misleading when ur paying this much for a painting session that mentioned drinks with it and that the drinks were a separate thing. i would definitely recommend people that want a true paint and sip to look at the fine print and research first before committing to this place to see if there are actual drinks provided with the purchase of the class.

Joy

30 Apr 2026

They did a great job!

Shimoli

26 Apr 2026

The class with Celia was amazing!

Chase

25 Apr 2026

Nobody showed up!!!!!!!! We went to the location and there was no one to do it. How do we get our money back?

Tiffany

25 Apr 2026

No one showed up. Never painted, never heard from anyone, whole class left hanging. Waste of money.

Amanda

25 Apr 2026

Instructor was a substitute and turned us away though we had bought our tickets the day before.. Ali was the substitute. Celia is on maternity leave. I also had the bar manager involved wherei it was being held. This was so horrible of an experience.

Damjan

12 Apr 2026

Jamie

12 Apr 2026

Was a lot of fun. Good instructor!

Elizabeth

03 Apr 2026

We had a great time! She was friendly, clear, and patient. Thank you!

Jules

03 Apr 2026

Instructor was rude and impatient with limited supplies. The venue was a poor choice as they made it clear they did not want us there. The bartenders spoke loud enough that we could hear them... We could not order drinks, as the instructor did not allow us time to drink, a spot to place our drinks, or even time time to use the restroom. It was so loud we could not hear the instructor. Booked as a party of 4 and we were sat separately so we could not even talk to each other. It was like a nightmare where you're late to class and there's a pop quiz.

Jennifer

02 Apr 2026

Soooo much fun, and such a great, relaxing vibe. Celia was incredibly attentive and helpful.

Laura

30 Mar 2026

We had fun at the class but the pace was fast, especially for those of us who do not pick-up a paint brush very often. Also, we really needed more than one mixing plate, again, especially for those of us not used to mixing paint. A good overview for the introduction, spelling out steps and giving tips on colors might be helpful.

Darlene

30 Mar 2026

Great class and the instructor Flo was awesome !

Mary

29 Mar 2026

We ran out of time. Perhaps the painting was too ambitious. But the inductor was very nice and helpful

Denise

07 Mar 2026

The instructor seemed impatient and not very friendly.

Ashley

01 Mar 2026

Had a first date night here it was nice we enjoyed it I forgot the lady’s name but she was nice

Norma

28 Feb 2026

I was disappointed with today’s class. Our instructor seem to not want to be there and rushed through the class. She rolled her eyes at our group a few times which made us feel uncomfortable. Someone in our group asked for help and didn’t get it. I’ve done this class in the pass and our prior instructor was so helpful. It was very disappointing.

Jacob

28 Feb 2026

They made the complex work seem a breeze and broke all the steps down to manageable pieces. It was really fun! A microphone would help in the acoustically challenged environments.

Sarah

28 Feb 2026

This was a fun class to go to! It was great to be creative with guidance. My one suggestion would be that the instructor use a microphone cause it was kinda hard to hear.

Kimberly

27 Feb 2026

instructor was very good , It was nice to be a small group . I learned alot and was very happy with my picture. My friend and I had a good time. This was my first time and had a awesome experience. Fist one is mine , second one my friends.

Teresa

27 Feb 2026

The instructor didn't have a mic and our table couldn't hear or see what she was doing. We had to wait for her to walk over to our table to proceed.

Becki

25 Feb 2026

Fun and relaxing class. I enjoyed spending time with my friend and the food and drinks were also perfect! Great venue, teacher and day out! Thank you.

Ala

24 Feb 2026

I went by myself and honestly had a good time! The instructor gave clear directions yet let us get creative! Definitely would go again

Patty

23 Feb 2026

Tiffany R was wonderful!!

caro

22 Feb 2026

The instructor Celia was so sweet and nice, and was helpful when questions were asked! The area where we did the paint and sip was a bit loud so it got hard to hear at times, but she would get closer and repeat instructions so I’d say, thank you for that!

Tiffany

22 Feb 2026

Enjoyed my first class. Our instructor Tiffany was wonderful. Her instructions were easy to follow and she engaged with the entire room. My party and I have already booked our next class. Thanks!

Crystal

20 Feb 2026

She is wonderful and a great teacher!

Gary

16 Feb 2026

The instructor was amazing. I will definitely do it again.

AMY

16 Feb 2026

The instructor was fun and upbeat and the class was enjoyable, however, the event felt disorganized. There was no one to greet anyone at the entrance and at least say "we're setting up, go over there and buy a drink". We had to direct ourselves because there was no acknowledgement until it was time to start and we were told to "have at it", referring to finding our seats. Honestly anyone could have could have come in and just take the class without having paid because there was not even a check in process.

Mary

15 Feb 2026

Cristina

09 Feb 2026

Had a wonderful class with Barry! He was a great instructor and we would love to do another painting class with him. Also loved the venue, Trinity Cider. Great time, great drinks and painting.

Denise

08 Feb 2026

Instructor Celia was amazing! She took us step-by-step showing us how to blend the colors and the paintbrush strokes to use. My winter scene painting came out beautiful. My friends and I plan to attend the February paint and sip.

Peyton

06 Feb 2026

Easily the best paint and sip experience we’ve had. Our instructor was so friendly and helpful. She did a great job at facilitating the room, giving practical pointers, and creating a warm and friendly space to have fun.

Jessica

01 Feb 2026

Loved that the paint dried fast and the instructor was patient. The space was a little tight but overall, a nice vibe.

Marisol

01 Feb 2026

It was a really nice time, it would be nice if wherever the painting is going to take place adjust sooner for the instructor as we had to move from our initial place outside in the patio to indoors. But once we all got settled, it was great. We had to move due to the wind, tossing everything over. Lol instructor was very nice light energy and motivating.

Amber

28 Jan 2026

Celia was amb awesome instructor she was fun and helped with the strokes couldn't figure out.

Jennifer

25 Jan 2026

10 Jan 2026

Our instructor was amazing! She was seriously such an encouraging instructor and she was just so sweet and very helpful!!

Mary

10 Jan 2026

What a fun experience! He was wonderful, so patient even with inundated with women asking questions or requesting tips, and overall helped a bunch of strangers come together and leave with something we can treasure! It didn’t feel awkward at all! I would definitely do it again! Celia wasn’t our instructor. It was an amazing guy but I forgot to write down his name.

Debbie

10 Jan 2026

The class was really great. Our instructor was great. I learned a lot of neat techniques. My picture turned out pretty good. I don’t believe I have very much natural ability to paint and he made me feel good about my abilities and to improve them.

Tonneau

We loved attending the painting class. The instructor, Cristina Vargas, is charming, super friendly, and always attentive to our every need. She's also a great artist! She explained everything step by step, patiently, and always with great care. The location, "Blue Owl Brewing," was very welcoming, and they have delicious beers. Thank you for this wonderful experience!

We had a great paint and sip experience! Sophie was absolutely wonderful - she was engaging, funny, and kind! Would 10/10 recommend!

Amena

23 Apr 2025

I liked the painting class for my own mind. Instructor showed us how to do every step and supplies were plenty. The actual photo of what we were supposed to paint vs. what we were taught to paint were different.

Juan

21 Apr 2025

Fun and easy! Really good teacher and great activity to do with friends.

Brenda

19 Apr 2025

Celia was knowledgeable and encouraging! My only criticism would be that the table was a bit small and cramped. It also would have been helpful to have a finished product on display while Celia directed us. We had fun!!

Lakeeya

17 Apr 2025

Started a hour late, it was disorganized. Teacher was nice and patient, but also didn’t know what was going on. Says paint and sip but there is no one provided and you can’t bring your own. Basically they just provide the painting supplies.

AC

13 Apr 2025

Instructor was lovely and her instructions were accurate and very helpful. Demo painting did not look like the painting in the advertisement. Class pacing was too fast - instructor finished the demo painting in less than an hour, leaving us far behind. And I really hated that the class used used cheap tempera paints that were appropriate for a second grade classroom rather than something more lasting and glossy; the finished product looks crummy because of the poor quality of the paint. Although this was an entertaining one-time-off experience, I would not recommend nor would I do it again.

Evelin

12 Apr 2025

Great experience! Amazing instructor :)

Diana

22 Mar 2025

Zoe was FANTASTIC! She had great pacing of the project, gave clear instructions, & was extremely helpful redirecting us when we made “happy little accidents”. Honestly I would go back for another class as long as she taught it.

Trinity

Rhys

26 Jan 2025

Great fun! The venue was real cosy and Sophie was an awesome, friendly instructor! Looking forward to the next one!

Natalie

13 Jan 2025

I would try this class again. We were 45 mins late to begin, which was a bummer for the people on time, to accommodate late arrivals. Then the class was a bit rushed to compensate for lost time. Lacked management and preparedness. The painting was fun and the environment was nice!

Marsha

12 Jan 2025

Me and my partner had a great time!

I never thought I could paint but thanks to Celia being so attentive and helpful and supportive, I enjoyed my time and will come back again! I’m so happy I decided to try this! My husband and I will cherish the experience for a lifetime! I recommend this to anyone who is interested or is looking for a great time! You will not only enjoy the time but also will impress yourself and discover the gift you never knew you had! Highly recommend Celia! She is one of the most patient, friendly, knowledgeable, supportive, polite, funny, and cool people I’ve met! Thank you! It’s was an absolute pleasure and joy to experience her as an instructor!

Sharon

03 Nov 2024

I had a great time! The instructor was patient and easy to follow!

Dyanna

27 Oct 2024

First off, there was no sip to the paint and sip! Not even offered! The materials were cheap, paint was given on a very cheap paper plate, which soaked up most of the paint, the napkin given was also very cheap, had to keep asking for more napkins and paint. The class was suspose to be 2 hours, it only lasted 1 hour and 30 min. & felt rushed. It was like she was in a hurry to get the class done and get out of there. Definitely not worth $70!! Don't recommend wasting your money....

Dominica

20 Oct 2024

We had a great time! Thank you!

Ashley

13 Oct 2024

it was a fun class, but we were all so serious because it was a hard drawing to do! I would have preferred doing some thing a little bit easier and having a little bit more fun than trying to reproduce the painting

The instructor was a gentleman by the name of Sonny. He was a pleasure to work with. This was my friend and I first painting class. Mr. Sonny was very kind and patient with us. He took his time to explain everything and gave us a helping hand when we needed it. Very pleased with the instructor.

Class was fun. Teacher was nice and helpful. I felt the steps were sort of loose and it was easy to fall behind.

Celia was a great instructor! My fiancé and I really enjoyed the experience and loved the way that our paintings turned out. Neither of us had ever painted before and Celia made it easy to follow along. I would highly recommend this experience and look forward to taking another Classpop! painting class in the future.

Instructor Celia, was pleasant and helpful. Instructions on the painting was easy to understand. The class was held at a brewery, which was a good thing for the non-wine drinkers. Looking forward to do other classes.

Mark was incredibly engaging and easygoing during the event. If anyone felt nervous or anxious about what they were doing, he helped to squash those feelings and therefore everyone had fun. The results were amazing and I felt like he gave them all the right amount of time to work on their own, before moving on to something he needed to give instructions for. I will book another program for sure.

Such a fun experience for all ages! The teacher is patient with you and allows you to paint without feeling rushed. It is great for parties or large groups. You really do learn how to be an artist with the guidance of the teacher. It is a wonderful virtual experience that I recommend you try out with your friends or family!
