Cooking Class: Southern Soul and African Fusion

Discover a soulful blend of African and Southern flavors in this in-person cooking class from Chef Lula. She'll introduce you to the delicious traditions that bring both culinary cultures to life! You'll learn to create a tangy kachumbari salad loaded with fresh garden vegetables, a roasted lemon-lime pepper chicken entrée with sweet potato pie mashed potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts on the side. For dessert, you'll whip up a green apple martini cobbler featuring a blend of sweet and tart apples seasoned with warm spices.

Chef Lula created an amazing atmosphere for us with music and story telling. We had a fun time learning new techniques in cooking, while being guided on a delicious 5 course meal. The Sweet Mash Potato Pie was my personal favorite dish and would definitely add that to the dinner list. I would totally recommend Chef Lula for any of her dishes for her charming personality and great taste in music choices.
