In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn to make simple yet crowd-pleasing gnocchi from scratch. These tender pillow-like bites are easy to make with a bit of insight from the chef. First, you'll learn to to take a few simple ingredients — potato, egg and flour — and turn it into gnocchi. Then, you'll learn to make a basil pesto with fragrant fresh basil, walnuts and olive oil. When you combine the two together, it creates a dish you'll want to make again and again.
Cooking classes on Classpop! are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Denis was outstanding. He taught my wife and I so many things about the culinary world that I'm sure we'll probably forget anyway. However, we won't forget how lovely the night was while we chatted, cooked, and simply enjoyed each others' company for the few hours he was with us. Oh! And the food! Magnificent. We ordered the French meal, and he made for us the best couscous dish I've ever had. Of course, he had us help, but it was all under his control and tutelage. Thanks, Chef. You made my wife's 40th Birthday that much more special!

Chef Denis is a seasoned chef with 43 years of experience working in the culinary world. His past roles include banquet chef, executive sous chef, private chef and even being the owner of a catering business, where he hosted both private events and intimate dinners. For the last 28 years, he's spent his time working as a culinary teacher, sharing his passion and knowledge with his students and aspiring chefs to create outstanding, memorable events.
