Cooking Class: Vegan Take-out Favorites

In this hands-on cooking class, you'll learn to make fun, plant-based versions of your favorite take-out dishes. Chef Malik will teach you tips and techniques for cooking without meat and dairy while you cook along with how to achieve the most flavor from your ingredients. Begin by making spicy tofu tacos with Sriracha and vegan cheese, followed by savory and satisfying cauliflower “wings” in a tangy Buffalo sauce. For the main course, you will make smoky, barbecued vegan burgers with crispy, seasoned fries on the side.


Firecracker Tofu Tacos 

With tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, Sriracha and vegan cheese

Vegan Buffalo Wings 

With rice flour, vegan butter, almond milk, cauliflower and spices

Smoked Vegan Burgers 

With tomatoes, lettuce, BBQ sauce, liquid smoke and assorted herbs

The pasta didn’t turn out well and the sauce wasn’t good. It was hard to hear the directions. The assistant chef greeted everyone in a rude manner.
