Begin with crunchy poppadom, then build depth of flavor in a rich chicken curry alongside basmati rice and spiced vegetables. For a sweet ending, whip up a bright and creamy mango shrikand seasoned with cardamom and saffron.

We had the most wonderful experience at Manjiri’s Indian cooking class. From the moment we stepped into her home, we felt completely welcomed, like old friends gathering in a cozy kitchen rather than students in a class. She is incredibly hospitable and thoughtful, creating such a relaxed and inviting atmosphere that made the whole experience feel special. The class itself was fantastic. We learned so many practical cooking tips, techniques, and authentic recipes that we can actually recreate at home. Manjiri explains everything clearly and shares little nuggets of wisdom along the way that you just can’t get from a cookbook. And the food. Absolutely delicious. We cooked, tasted, laughed, and by the end left with full, happy bellies and containers of leftovers to enjoy later, which felt like the best kind of souvenir. If you’re considering it, don’t hesitate. I highly recommend this class to anyone who loves great food, warm company, and a truly memorable experience.

Chef Manjiri believes the best way to learn to cook is through hands-on kitchen experience. Her classes are entertaining yet informative, teaching simple, effective culinary techniques that her students can carry with them to grow their range of skills as they expand their recipe repertoire. As a cook, Chef Manjiri has expertise in many cuisines, with a specialty in authentic vegetarian Indian dishes. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge!
