Cooking Class: Handcrafted Sushi

Chef Andy makes sushi-making approachable in this hands-on cooking class. Learn essential knife skills for clean slicing, how to build a tight sushi roll and simple tips for pairing flavors like a pro. Practice classic techniques while creating two crowd-favorite rolls, from a spicy ahi-tuna roll to a shrimp tempura roll with a kick of jalapeño. You’ll also explore the basics of nigiri and sashimi so you can confidently order, prep and plate sushi at home. Finish on a sweet note with tropical fruit drizzled with honey and sprinkled with tōgarashi for a refreshing, spicy-sweet dessert.
