Online Cooking Class: Book-Based Italian and French Favorites

Online cooking classes go book club dinner party with Chef Chris at the helm. You'll learn how to prepare French recipes featured in Julie & Julia and Italian dishes from Under the Tuscan Sun. You'll first journey to the Tuscan landscape as you prepare Frances Mayes' charred eggplant involtini and roasted tomato and rosemary sauce. For dessert, you'll create Julia Child's raspberry coulis with brandy served with orange Bavarian cream.

My teenage kids and I gifted this experience to my husband, and we all had a blast. We all got to participate throughout the lesson, and the kids gained some much needed cooking experience. Plus, Chris taught us some special techniques to up our game at home. Highly, highly recommend.

Chef seemed distracted and we didn’t get as much teaching and hands on as I hade hoped for. The Tiramisu came out more like a soup.

I know the problems I had weren’t Chef Chris’ fault but the room we were supposed to be in was occupied so the room we did have was freezing! We had to keep taking breaks which made the process longer. I wish we had been able to make the sauce as well. Class ran a little over. Nonetheless, chef was amazing and very helpful even with all the participants. I would take the class again because I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere

Chef Chris was working as an Italian teacher at UC Berkeley when he discovered his passion for cooking. Ever since then, he has been following his passion of cooking and teaching with a focus on regional Italian cuisine. He even co-founded a culinary event business to highlight his skills.
