Team Building Activity: Classic Cuisine of Southeast Asia

Chef Jared leads this team building activity through the flavors and cooking techniques of Southeast Asia. You and your group will learn how to prepare pan-fried dumplings with chili oil, scallions and crispy shallots along with egg rolls in a tangy sweet chili sauce. Your entrée is a savory roast duck with Chinese broccoli, cucumber, herbs and fresh steamed buns. For dessert, you'll bake orange blossom cookies with a sweet citrus glaze.

We had such a great time with Chef Jared! Jared was very laid back and clearly knew a lot about cooking. We let us participate as much or as little as we wanted, which we really appreciated. Our favorite part was the homemade hot sauces, but all of the food was fantastic. Chef Jared is also a great storyteller, and we'd definitely book him again!!

Chef Jared was amazing — he made complex dishes seem more approachable by offering simple tips and tricks. I definitely feel more confident in my cooking skills and will be trying some of these dishes at home. Jared adds some truly unique touches to each dish, including adding black truffles to his pooched lobster or sprinkling candied peanuts on a banana brulee. I ate a lot and learned some too!

Chef Jared began his culinary career back in high school and college learning the ins and outs of working in kitchens. Then, he spent time living and traveling in Central America, becoming familiar with the culture, cuisines and local ingredients, and even ran a kitchen in Panama. Back in the U.S., Chef Jared now caters in-home events and private events, and hosts cooking classes teaching cooking techniques and skills.
