Cooking Class: Gourmet Mediterranean Fusion
Join Chefs Vivian and Michi in this hands-on cooking class as you explore four-courses of Mediterranean fusion.
First, Chefs Vivian and Michi will teach you how to prepare sizzling and spicy gambas al pil pil with shrimp and fragrant garlic. Next, you'll learn how to make two show-stopping entrees; aromatic Mediterranean chicken with assorted roasted vegetables and parsley, and a savory vegetarian paella with a vibrant assortment of peppers, onions, mushrooms and artichokes. For dessert, dive into a decadent tiramisu with creamy mascarpone, ladyfingers and coffee.

It was a fun selection of food items. Sadly, the ingredients were not all listed nor some of the amounts. During the class, there were items that were not mentioned in the directions. I had hoped to hear more from Michi's experience with the food in Japan- he did not have much time to talk. Finally, we seemed to end class about 20 minutes early and a slower pace may have been helpful.

Chef Vivian brought so much freshness in her dishes. She used same day vegetables and made everything from scratch. I had so much fun learning and I hope to do it again shortly.

Chef Vivian is highly regarded and holds many hats, including a private chef, caterer and cooking class instructor. Chef Michi has mastered the art of exquisite Japanese sushi and enjoys sharing his specialty skills with others.
