Cooking Class: Make Thai Food With a Vegetarian Twist
If you love Thai dishes from the plant-based side of the menu, this in-person cooking class with Chef Krong is just what you ordered! Enjoy a lesson in the greener fare this beloved cuisine offers, filled with flavors and textures you're sure to love.
Start with traditional vegetable rolls, lightly fried and filled with crisp cabbage, onion and carrots, with a homemade sweet and sour dipping sauce. Learn to perfect tofu pad Thai featuring rice noodles and peanuts and gaeng kiew waan, a green curry with eggplant as the centerpiece. For dessert, enjoy a refreshing tropical fruit salad tossed by the chef as a sweet treat for the class.

We were blown away by how amazing fresh, authentic Thai food can be! Chef Krong used family recipes and authentic ingredients to help us create a delicious meal. She brought all the ingredients and had a great system to make everything come together at once. We didn't need any fancy techniques or equipment. Krong is fun, friendly, and kind and we would recommend this experience!

Chef Krong is so much fun and I was finally able to check off ‘making a sushi roll’ which has been on my bucket list forever. Plus, what a sweet venue, Grafted Cellars. Another hidden little gem in the neighborhood with good wine and nice ambiance.

Chef Krong was funny and clear in her instructions. She was a good teacher, and the sushi came out very good. What didn't work for me so much was the location; crammed in the back of a brewery. Also, there were 20 people in the class, which is too many for the class to feel intimate.

Chef Krong is very fun. The location of the class was totally disappointing, we had the class at the warehouse of a small winery with a lot of restaurant supplies and brewery barrels, very noisy and crowded. We had some small flies visiting our class too.

So disappointed and was a waste of money! we paid per person but did not get a right service for each! There was only one setting for couple! they put tables in the garage and the floor was wet and the environment was so ugly and dirty that I could not even take a good picture for my social media! The chef was not clean and was touching everybody’s food with her fingers without gloves! the setting was awful and they did not even provide fish for sushi! It’s did not worth a penny!

Chef Krong was FANTASTIC! The class was fun and full of laughter and energy. The only downside is that you pay a big chunk of money only to make 1 type of roll. Other than that, it was a good experience!

My wife and I had a wonderful cooking experience with Chef Mai filled in for Chef Krong and she was experienced and had a great sense of humor. We are so excited that we are going to try to set up a social for our Rotary Club at Crafted Cellers soon!

The Pad Thai was lovely and cooked SO much faster than we realized! The menu on the site said: “With rice noodles, chicken, tofu, bean sprouts, cilantro and lime.” There was NO CHICKEN.

Nice intro to this dish. Looking forward to making it soon. Wish the full ingredient list with brand names was available during class. Haven't received the ingredient list yet by email which we hoped would happen after the class was completed.

Chef Krong and her class were amazing! She was super friendly and patient, waiting for all students to arrive before starting the class. The location, Blue Fire Brewing, was a phenomenal choice. Not only was their selection of beers great, but because of the open nature of the brewery, the smells from the cooking weren't overwhelming. I highly recommend this class and hope to hire Chef Krong in the future!

So glad I took the class! It was very educational and fun at the same time! Krong did a great job teaching us a lot in a relatively short time and at the same time keeping it fun and entertaining! It was clear she has a lot of experience doing this as she was very organized and was able to keep all of us students engaged. We all enjoyed the food we made at the end! I highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time! It was organized, fun, clean, airy location, yummy, with excellent guidance/teachings, and a delightful experience overall. We learned a lot about techniques when it comes to how to use the tip of the spatula, which ingredients to best utilize, heat management of the stove, when to put the recipe together, tricks on how to keep things simple to not stress when making the dish, etc. I’m very glad we spent our Sunday afternoon with Chef Krong. We will take more classes with her and gain more knowledge.
