Cooking Class: Homemade Dumplings
If you’ve ever wanted to make your own dumplings from scratch, this fun cooking class is a great place to start.
This class is great for beginners who want to learn the basics or experienced cooks looking to improve their skills. Chef Parsati will teach you both traditional methods and modern recipes, sharing helpful tips along the way. You’ll kick things off with a refreshing boiled peanut salad, tossed with fresh herbs and a splash of citrus. Then, you’ll learn how to shape dough and fill it with tasty ingredients for two kinds of dumplings: crispy pan-fried vegan dumplings and soft, steamed chicken dumplings paired with a flavorful soy chili dip. We had a lot of fun working with Chef Paru. We brought our daughter to the event, and Chef Paru was able to adjust the recipes so our kid could enjoy her food. Parsati is very warm and knowledgeable, having cooked her way through many countries. She has a caring and fun personality that makes you feel welcome. The setting is clean and welcoming, and the ingredients are all organic. Overall, we had a really good time!

Chef Parsati is sweet and kind welcoming us to her home. Her home is very clean and organized. Being an amateur in the kitchen, she was able to walk me through the steps for cooking without feeling too pressured. The food (Vegetarian Japanese) itself was amazing and less greasy than what we’ve had in restaurants. It was an awesome experience for our anniversary. Thank you Chef for the great food and hospitality.

“Paru” gave my friend and I a fascinating short course on the cuisine of Northern India and then we sat down to a delicious meal we had helped prepare with her guidance. We learned so many things and are well on our way to a new culinary journey in our own kitchens! Every one of the 4 dishes is a “keeper!”
