Cooking Class: An Introduction to Sushi Rolls

Do you ever look at beautiful sushi rolls and think you could never make that at home? In this cooking class with Chef Danielle, you will learn that you can, in fact, make homemade sushi as pretty as what you'd find in a restaurant. 

Start by learning the basics of proper slicing techniques. Then, Chef Danielle will show you how to perfectly prepare your sticky rice for the rolls. Finally, assemble your three rolls, which include a California roll with crab, a spicy shrimp roll and a vegetarian variety. All rolls include wasabi, ginger and soy sauce.

Our cooking classes are designed to be social events that do not require any previous experience. Guests are welcome to purchase beer to enjoy during the class.

Chef Danielle was AWESOME! The class was super fun as well. If I were to offer any constructive feedback, it would be that a 20+ person class is too large... It took awhile for ingredients to circulate the table and there wasn't much personal space despite the extra two tables brought in. Aside from that, the class was so much fun and we were bragging about it and Chef Danielle for the rest of the weekend!

Chef Danielle's class was a fantastic introduction to sushi making. Her energy and deep culinary knowledge made the class fun and easy to follow. This class gave me the inspiration and confidence to try making my own sushi rolls at home. She clearly has a knack for both cooking and teaching. This class is great for dates or outings with friends, but I'd also highly recommend any of her classes to someone who's seriously interested in learning new skills in the kitchen.

Danielle was awesome, she went above and beyond in making sure all of us had a great experience! Your company allowing 28 people to enroll was insane! The space can not accommodate that many people. Due to the over selling of the class, Danielle only being allowed to have one burner, we were not able to make the sauce in the allotted time. Find her a better space!!

You scheduled 30 people in a very small room for one pasta making class! What were you thinking?? The instructor was overwhelmed, we couldn't see what she was trying to demonstrate, and because there was only one hot plate we never got to cook the pasta and left with nothing but a pile of dough. We never got to make pasta sauce (which we were repeatedly told we would make at the end) either since we ran out of time. In the end we had no pasta, no sauce, and this was a complete waste of 3 hours. Horrible planning. Shame on this company!! Never using this company again and certainly not recommending this company to friends. An absolute abomination and a waste of an afternoon.

Danielle came highly recommended by a mutual friend. I used her services for a Girls Night In, and I was blown away by her dedication to her craft! This isn't something she does just for extra money in her pocket. This is something she was born to do, and you can tell instantly! From my initial contact with her, she was very warm and personable. She helped me select the perfect menu for my guests, she brought along fresh ingredients, set up a beautiful display, and the kitchen was clean by the time my guest arrived! The food was delicious and beautifully created! Danielle definitely has a gift in awakening the senses when it comes to food. Her prices are very reasonable and she is willing to work with your budget. She is such a gem and I look forward to working with her again in the near future!

One word to describe working with Danielle...AH-MAZING!!! She was very flexible with working around our food allergies/distastes while simultaneously incorporating all the various flavors that I requested in our meal. Her menu that she created for us was both innovative and delicious. Our dinner was by far one of the best meals we've eaten! We hired the chef to cater a luncheon for about 90 of our employees. Dani worked with us on the menu, timing, and delivery, and the entire process was flawless. We have hired a few times since for smaller events and she's come through every time. Could not recommend her enough!
