A talented instructor will guide your group through chanoyu, an 800-year-old practice blending hospitality, mindfulness and tradition. Your team will discover the meaning behind ceremonial utensils and gestures before learning how to prepare and whisk their own bowls of matcha. Rooted in Zen Buddhism, this calming experience encourages focus, presence and shared connection. No prior experience or special attire is required, making it an approachable and memorable team building activity.

Chef Hiroyo is a Japanese culinary instructor from Hokkaido specializing in decorative sushi. Trained in baking, pastry and traditional Japanese confectionery, she holds Level 1 certification in kazari maki-zushi instruction. She leads hands-on workshops across New York City, teaching guests to transform sushi into colorful, artful designs while sharing Japanese culinary traditions through approachable, creative instruction.
